Hello everybody—strangers and friends. My baby girl Osa, who was almost ten years old, passed on Thursday, June 25th, just a couple of months from her 10th birthday. She experienced a sudden stomach twist and underwent surgery, but her condition was too severe. The vet said she had a 50% chance of surviving. We all remained hopeful and were overwhelmed with love and grief at the same time. In the end, her body couldn't overcome the complications. She was there in her last hour with me, conscious. We touched noses and her eyes were locked on mine until her last breath. We were soul mates and I miss her so much. Anybody that knew Osa knows she was extraordinary. She was the sweetest animal. I feel so lucky to have rescued her. She could have ended up with anybody, but her journey led us to each other. It was a perfect union from day one. Osa was and is an angel and will always be my best friend. This whole thing has been so unbelievably hard. And on top of the grief, there is the monetary cost. As we all know, life is barely affordable these days. The bill to save Osa has created a mountain of debt that feels impossible right now, but I have faith that we'll get there. Please help if you can. Every cent matters.
