I really need help keeping my finances afloat after my cat’s dental exam. A few months ago my cat started showing symptoms of pain and was avoiding eating. The vet recommended I get a dental exam for x-rays to see if there were issues we couldn’t see — the procedure was projected to cost $850 dollars.
Insurance was my only possible route to afford this and unfortunately ended up costing more in the long run. I paid for 3 months of insurance at $75/month (dental tier included). The procedure ended up being $750 total. Insurance determined that the minor gingivitis my cat had was a preexisting condition and refuses to pay for anything except part of the blood test, giving me $75 total.
That leaves me with $675 dollars to pay out of pocket, and $225 for the cost of insurance itself. I don’t have enough money available to pay off my balances so any help would be appreciated. All the money would go towards paying off her bills, and would help me be able to afford rent and food.
Thank you so much for reading and happy holidays to all
