This is my cat Milo. He is 9 and a half years old but still acts like the silly, little kitten I adopted at 8 weeks old. He has lived with me ever since, being his sassy, funny and cute self the whole time. People often say their pets are like their children, and Milo is certainly my very own fur baby.
A little over a month ago he developed a limp in his back leg. After an initial trip to the vet for some painkillers, he had another review and an X-ray which unfortunately showed a tumour on his left hock. While the pain is being mostly managed by regular pain meds and the cancer hasn’t spread anywhere else yet, the only way to resolve this issue and give him some quality of life back is for Milo to have his leg amputated. He is booked in to have this done next week.
As many people are aware, vet bills are very expensive, and this operation is no exception - estimated costs will be around £2000, this is on top of what has already been paid for X-rays and medication.
People have been asking if there is anything they can do to help, and honestly the most helpful thing people can do is to help with the costs of this essential operation so Milo can live the rest of his life as a slightly wonky but happy and pain free cat.
Any donations are gratefully appreciated by myself and Milo. I will try to add regular updates on this page so people can see how he gets on with the operation and recovery. Thank you ❤️
