Help Cover Memorial&Medical Costs for James Hack

Donation protected
My father, James Hack, passed away on Thursday (2/3/22) following a month-long battle with Covid-19 and the complications that resulted from the disease. We have started this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of his cremation/memorial, and the medical costs he incurred from the intensive care he required prior to his passing. My family was unpreparred for his loss, in so many ways. We appreciate your support, as we mourn his departure from Earth.

Below is his obituary:

James R. “Jim” Hack, Jr., 52, of Stevensville, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Jim was born on August 21, 1969, in Mishawaka, IN, to James R. & Jeanne (Bellairs) Hack Sr. After graduating from Dowagiac High School in 1982, he continued his education at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, earning an Associates Degree in Music and Video Business. Jim met the love of his life, Maria Holden, while living in Florida, and they married on October 5, 1996, at Glenlord Beach in Stevensville. Jim and Maria raised their family in the area, where he worked at Wolverine Metal Stamping for over 20 years. Jim had many passions; he loved fly fishing and collecting antique lures, he was an accomplished free-flight airplane builder and competitor, and he was a professed foodie (and loved cooking). Jim was cherished by many, and will be remembered for his kind heart, integrity, and infectious sense of humor.

Jim is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Maria L. Hack; daughter, Samantha (Luke) Hack-Rose; son, William Hack and parents, James, Sr. and Jeanne (Bellairs) Hack.
