Help Cover Melanie's funeral costs and Sons travel expenses

My mom lived a great life and lived it to her own agenda. She was a free spirit who made sure my brother and I had as much of an adventurous life as possible before we became adults. Even as adults, my mom never slowed down being our mother, always staying updated with her adventures and always checking in with her family and friends. She was well known to everyone and always showed love to everyone, including people she never knew personally. She had a lot of hardships but knew how to bounce back from them. Growing up, she lost everything to a corrupt organization and wanted my brother and me to learn these life lessons with her during those 6 hard years. She always found a way to make us smile even in the darkest times. My mom taught my brother and me how to get through life even when life puts us against a wall. She was a strong-willed woman and showed plenty of resilience. She was always a traveler and loved to explore the unknown. Once my brother and I moved out to start our adult lives, she packed up and made her big move to Hawaii. My mom got to experience the best 10 years of her remaining life on an island with her service dogs and adventures with her friends.

She leaves behind 2 sons, her granddaughter, her mom and dad, brother, and close friends she has been friends with ever since middle school and later.

My mom was always a prepper and even prepped her own funeral costs in 2014 to be ahead of any hardships my brother and I would have to endure. My mother passed away in her sleep after she had moved back to the states from Hawaii in her townhouse peacefully. She didn't want a ceremony to happen but will have a viewing for close family and friends that can make it on 01/29/2025 prior to her cremation.
