Help cover Meighan's Cancer Bills

Hi everyone!

As most of you know by now, my incredibly brave and strong sister, Meighan, is deep in her battle against breast cancer. Many of you have reached out and offered help or asked how you can support Meighan during this extremely difficult time. Some of you have already supported Meighan on her journey in various ways. I truly cannot thank you all enough for your support.

Meighan has been undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy since July and will continue to do so through December. After that, she will need multiple surgeries, procedures, and an unknown length of radiation treatment; her treatment will continue well into next year. Much of this treatment is luckily covered by insurance, but other parts are not.

Unfortunately, as Meighan continues to seek the necessary treatments to beat cancer, her medical bills are rapidly racking up (I'll save my diatribe against U.S. healthcare for another time). For those who continue to ask how you can support Meighan, right now she (and Mike) could really use some financial assistance to offset the very hefty medical costs they are accruing. If you are in the financial position to donate, I would be eternally grateful and it would absolutely help Meighan beat cancer.

The amount that I'm asking to be fundraised is a projection of how much Meighan will need to pay out-of-pocket for her remaining treatments and procedures, based on what she currently owes and what is likely to arise within the next year (in all honesty, this projection may be too conservative). All of the money raised will go directly to Meighan's medical costs (minus the approximately 3% of donations GoFundMe collects). I absolutely mean it when I say no amount donated is too small. The bottom line is no one should ever have to go into debt in order to receive life-saving medical treatment.
