Help Cover Medical Bills for Loving Husband

Donation protected
My husband is the love of my life. We've had a rough 4-5 years with health issues for both of us. Fortunately, my insurance is better than his and my bills are covered. The same is not true for him.

My husband is that rare man who takes care of everything! He prides himself on being a good provider, taking care of the yard, and still helps with cooking, laundry, and cleaning! He handles our budget perfectly! I feel helpless at not being able to fix the medical bills for him.

In late winter/early spring of 2022, he was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. His medical bills stacked up. He set up payment plans and kept plugging away. The very next year, in March of 2023, he had emergency triple bypass surgery. He had not even come close to paying off his bills from the year before.

Almost all of 2024, he was able to chip away at the bills without adding to them, finally paying off the bills from 2022. Then in November, bloodwork came back from his yearly physical showing his autoimmune was back. He was back in hemolysis. Only this time, tests showed a new, even more rare form of his autoimmune: Cold Agglutinin Disease. He was referred to a blood specialist, who ordered a bone marrow biopsy.

His actual diagnosis now is Waldenström Macroglobulinemia, which is a rare form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He has cancer of the blood. The good news is that this is not fatal and can be treated (for now) with Immunotherapy infusions called Rituximab. The bad news is that his medical bills, even with insurance, are increasing drastically. He is still trying to pay off the triple bypass surgery from almost 2 years ago.

His current medical bills are sitting at approximately $9,700. He is only about halfway to meeting his deductible for 2025, so there will be another $3,000 or so added to it before insurance starts to cover more.

Because this cancer is incurable, he will need treatment again. Our greatest hope is that we can get these medical bills paid off before that happens, because when it comes back, he may need chemotherapy along with the immunotherapy. We never know what the future holds.

If you can help financially, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping this man who has done everything for me and our family. If you cannot afford to help financially, then I thank you so much for sending prayers because prayers work miracles!!!
