My name is John Mendoya I am 62 years old and I have diabetes.

Because of that, I need a new kidney and a new liver. I am on dialysis three times a week which I have to travel 42 miles one way. I can physically no longer work and I have several medical bills because I had no insurance while hospitalized or on dialysis. I could not be put on the donor list for a kidney or a liver until I got insurance. I am now paying for COBRA insurance, which is very expensive, Cobra will go back three months and pay for my bills. Once the COBRA insurance is paid for, I will have $400 a month to live on.
