Family Needs Help After Job Loss and Surgery

Hello Family and Friends. Here is an update on our story.
As many of you already know, my husband had open heart surgery at the end of May 2024. He needed his aortic valve replaced. There were a few scary complications, but through prayer, an amazing surgeon and staff, he made an amazing recovery.
His aortic valve was replaced by a Bovine Valve. The picture we have on this Go Fund Me page, is on a t-shirt his sister gave to him as a gift after his surgery. Such a wonderful gift to tell his recovery in a picture!
Due to his longer recovery time, the company He had worked for a combined 34 years let him go in July 2024, leading him to believe he could come back once he was released by his Cardio Doctor. However, they did not take him back. I found it hard to believe after all those years of dedicated service in the Lumber Mill industry, he was so easily expendable.
Some medical expenses were covered. And we had some other benefits. However, all medical and other benefits stopped in early September 2024. No money was coming in until He was able to collect unemployment beginning mid October and most of November. What they pay out in Idaho unemployment was not enough for us to keep up our regular expenses plus pay the medical bills still streaming in.
But Wait! There is some good news! After 7 weeks and 57 job applications later, he found another job at the end of November. It is quite a bit less per hour, but a huge blessing. It is now almost mid February things are getting better.
The bills keep coming in and need to be paid to Kootenai Heart Medical Center in Idaho. These bills are for his surgery, lab work, and Cardiology Doctor follow up echo cardiogram x-ray and medication review. (Note: His Cardiac follow up was in September, and will not be covered by any insurance.) Update to February and he now has insurance again. We are making payments on some of this medical debt.
We did not get close to our original goal of $8,000. We received a little over $1, 400.00 from that starting goal. I reduced our new goal down to $1,000.00. This will cover one more bill of $499.00 and some late charges on some bills we got waiting for the checks to start coming in.
Again, we are deeply grateful for all of your help.
Our next goal is to save if we can, a little here and there, to get a second vehicle so I can go back to work part time. Please be in prayer with us to reach this next step.
Again THANK YOU! And God Bless You!
