My mother, Yvonne has had an ongoing issue with her kidney for 20+ years now. The last couple years her kidney started developing more and more kidney stones while losing its ability to function. For the last couple months she has been meeting up with doctors to plan when to have the kidney removed. She made sure she was financially covered for the two weeks she’d be out of work. On the 17th of June she went in for surgery to have the diseased kidney removed. Days after the surgery an abdominal abscess formed. After a consult with a nurse, she was instructed to go to the ER immediately. From there the ER doctor took a scan and said her situation was life or death and had to be medivac’d to St. Lukes in Allentown for emergency surgery, followed by another abdominal surgery.
When she gets home her Recovery time is 8 weeks. Leaving our household without an income and a way to pay any medical/recovery expenses. Any donations to help pay for the surgery and bills during this time would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
