Help cover Mark’s NICU bills

Early Monday morning March 15th Katherine went into pre-term labor and arrived at the hospital. She spent quite a while waiting for labor to progress but due to her low platelets and baby Mark’s heart rate becoming harder to find after contractions she was taken back for a C-section where she was put under general anesthesia. Mark was safely born on Tuesday March 16th and taken to his dad and Katherine’s mom who were waiting to meet him. Katherine went to recovery and got to meet him soon after. Over the following days Mark’s platelets declined and the issue became progressively worse. Today March 21rst he was taken to the NICU and they’ve started a transfusion in hopes of raising his platelets so he can go home in a few days. 

It has been a long week and Katherine and her husband Matthew are so stressed and anxious. Any donations will go towards helping to cover Mark’s hospital bills, meals while they are sitting with him in the NICU, loss of wages from Matthew having to take unpaid leave to be with his family this past week, and any other immediate needs of the family.
