I absolutely hate asking for help but I am finally getting a much needed hysterectomy. I found out yesterday that both my FMLA and Short term

disability has been denied. My surgery is September 19th with a 6-8 week recovery time. I have been told that my job is safe but I will not have any source of income for the entirety of my healing period. My last full paycheck will be on September 13th. I could reapply for the FMLA and Short Term disability benefits but not until after mid October. I have put off this procedure but it’s becoming critical to my over all health well being. I am asking for what I would have already been making income wise to cover my apartment, utilities and car payment and insurance. I also have to pay out per paycheck for my health insurance. I have also just been put on a glucose monitor and cannot afford to lose my insurance. I cannot have anymore upheaval as I am finally starting to recover from my divorce and subsequent relocations. I know folks are strapped but I am asking for help in any amount so that I don’t fall between the cracks and later people say, “why didn’t she say anything?” This hurts the warrior spirit in me greatly as I am the one others seek out for help so friends, family, framily, colleagues, clients and community, I could use some financial help. I appreciate ANYTHING and have no issues with full transparency.
