IF you have ever thought it will never happen to you.. THINK AGAIN!!
I recently found out I have uterine cancer.
I am reaching out to my friends, family and anyone that would be willing to help me out.
If you know me you know I never ask for help but I got this unexpected news on Monday June 2, 2025 and was not prepared for it.
My whole life I have been healthy. I am not a smoker, not a drinker and have never done drugs. We don't even have history of cancer in our bloodline.
They say I am only in stage 1 and caught it early enough to hopefully avoid any chemo or radiation treatments. I had my consult with my oncologist today and a complete hysterectomy is the best way to take care of this. I won't know until after the surgery if I will need any further treatment.
This type of surgery is followed by a 6 week healing process. We survive on a two person income and losing 1 persons income for 6 weeks is hard. I just need to make sure that we can keep the roof over our heads and food on our table while I am out of work for 6 weeks.
Most of my vacation time has been used up already by doctor visits. I have no disability insurance to help cover the bills while I am off of work.
My surgery is scheduled for July 21, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee.
All I am asking is for any type of help to make the journey I have to take a little less stressful for the 6 weeks following surgery. And lots of Prayers.
Thank you for reading my story and as a message to all women out there.. Don't ignore your wellness checks! Having mine done is what caught this early. Don't ever think it won't happen to you... ❤️
