Help Cover Living Costs During Cancer Recovery

Donation protected
Anyone who knows me knows that the last thing I aim to do is ask for support. With that said, this also means that if something has happened to force me to ask for support, it must be major.

I have always been a hard worker. In fact, I’ve balanced multiple jobs for as long as I’ve been working. Since moving to Connecticut, that hasn’t changed.

Unfortunately, I have recently been diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma, and will be having surgery on March 11 to amputate a part of my foot and also to excise lymph nodes to determine whether or not the cancer has infiltrated other systems.

Given the nature of my surgery, I am going to be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. Even more so, Short Term Disability is only going to be covering $170 a week which for me, living in Connecticut, is not sustainable.

Any money that my fiancée and I are able to receive will go to medical expenses, housing, food and gas expenses that we are still going to have to navigate as our income is essentially slashed in half.

I understand that asking for help right now is extremely sensitive, so do not fret if you cannot support. We appreciate anything, including just meaningful messages!

Thank you in advance, and I will keep you updated on my journey!
