Help Cover Liver Transplant Costs for a Grateful Patient

Dear friends and family,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request for support. In July 2023, I went to the emergency room experiencing severe pain on my right side, only to discover I had emergency appendicitis. While in the hospital, my doctor found something concerning on my liver, which led to the devastating diagnosis of liver cancer and cirrhosis.

Despite being a non-drinker—something many people associate with cirrhosis—my health took a turn I never expected. After a long and challenging wait of a year and a half, I was finally matched for a liver transplant and underwent surgery at Ochsner in New Orleans on February 28th. I’m incredibly grateful to share that I’m healing well after the transplant. However, as many of you know, the costs associated with this life-saving procedure are substantial. The medical bills are beginning to come in, and I’ve also incurred significant expenses from living in New Orleans for over a month during my recovery.
