It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Leonid Shpreyregin, a beloved pastor, husband, and father. Leonid was born on February 4, 1958, in Minsk, Belarus, alongside his twin brother Gennady. In 1989, Leonid emigrated to the United States, where he met Svetlana Brizitskaya, originally from Ukraine. They were married in December 1992 and welcomed their son, Daniil, in August 1993.
Raised in a Jewish family, Leonid was deeply moved by his wife’s Christian faith and, after careful reflection, embraced Yeshua Hamashiah as his personal Savior. Inspired by his newfound faith, Leonid founded and led the Jewish Messianic Congregation in Seattle, Washington, for 25 years. He was known as an exceptional organizer, a compassionate leader, and a friend to all, always eager to help those in need. In June 2022, Leonid and Svetlana relocated to Florida. Tragically, three years later, Leonid’s life was unexpectedly cut short by cancer. His legacy of faith, service, and love endures in the hearts of all who knew him.
We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burdens we are now facing. Donations will go directly toward medical bills and burial expenses. Thank you for your compassion, prayers, and support.
