Help cover Kevin’s medical expenses

Hey there. Many of you may know my dad, Kevin Miller. He is one of funniest, most caring, and strongest people I know, and would give the shirt off of his back for anyone in need. He is retired from over 15 years of hard work with UPS, and is currently working at OACSD as a program aide for children with developmental disabilities. The last few years have not been the kindest to him or our family. For those of you who do not know my dad's story, he is a diabetic. With that comes many health complications and expenses that are hard to avoid. This being said, due to a continuous battle with Osteomyelitis (bone infection) from a previous injury in his left foot, multiple stays in the hospital, and diabetes preventing recovery, the team of doctors working with my dad have decided that a full below-knee amputation is the only option for full recovery from this infection as it is just continuously spreading. This will put my father out of work for a MINIMUM of 6 months, meaning we will also have to close down Beullah's Butcher Block for this hunting season. In the midst of all of this, my dad has still made sure to visit his students, and help anywhere in any way he can until his surgery on September 20th. Having to be away from his students and not being able to open up the butcher shop this year is not just taking a toll on him mentally, but also financially. Renovations need to be done around the house for easier navigation since he will be in a wheelchair for 2-4 months before he can get fitted for a prosthetic, medical bills, and the odds of the insurance covering the entire cost of the prosthetic are slim. All of this is overwhelmingly, and it is just too much for us to handle on our own financially with him out of work. Any money donated will be used for the cost of the prosthetic and other medical expenses that are to come.
