Welcome,

My name is Katherine Alvarez, and I’m creating this GoFundMe page in memory of my little brother, Kevin Mixson.

Kevin was more than just my brother—he was my best friend, a father, and a friend to many. His passing has left a deep hole in our hearts, especially for his children’s.

We lost Kevin on June 7th, 2025, due to a tragic accident involving a repeat DUI offender, 41-year-old Marc Charles Damerell. Kevin’s death marks the 73rd traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metro’s jurisdiction this year.

As our family navigates this heartbreaking time, we are asking for help to cover the cost of cremation—a minimum of $700—cremation viewing $600—as well as any unexpected expenses that may arise, like transportation, urn, & fees.

All funds raised will legally go to Jocelyn Alarcón, Kevin’s next of kin and the loving mother of his beautiful children.
