Surgery was successful on Monday!

My son, Alton's little family has had some unforseen challenges. My daughter-in-law, Kat, was very ill during the pregnancy and Fanen was born early. They were strong and well cared for. After two hospital stays they started getting their feet under them. Healthy and healing momma and baby boy.

On Sunday, August 17th Alton and Kat got to have their first date night after all their shenanigans. While wrapping up their night with some longboarding, Kat got the speed wobbles and crashed pretty badly. She was taken from the path by ambulance. Kat had suffered a high-velocity fracture of her left leg (both lower leg bones) her foot was dislocated and all of her tendons have been severed. The baby is not quite 7 weeks old. The medical bills are mounting as she needs to have imaging and surgery in the next few days. Alton has had to take a leave from work to care for his family. Anything helps!
