Help Cover Jupiter's Vet Expenses

Early one morning last week, Jupiter was found out in his field with his right knee entirely split open. It appeared that he somehow fell on his knee leaving skid marks in the gravel dust. After an early morning emergency vet visit and consultations with multiple veterinarians, the decision was made to take him to Blue Ridge Equine Clinic for surgery. During the surgery to close his knee, the vets found that Jupiter also tore up the joint capsule in this joint requiring additional work to repair. This has required an almost weeklong stay at the clinic, and he will likely be on stall rest for months in order to limit movement and ensure his knee can heel properly.

Jupiter has been a key part of the Level Green lesson program since 2014. He has taught many riders; from those just looking to take lessons, to the pony rider stepping up to ride a horse for the first time, as well as those riders looking to show in the Children’s Hunter divisions. He has also taken our riders to some of the biggest shows in the country including the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. He has helped so many riders in their careers, that now it is our turn to help him.

I am asking that if Jupiter has somehow been part of either your own riding career or that of your child’s, that you consider donating to help him continue to receive the best veterinary care possible. Level Green is doing everything in their power to make sure that Jupiter stands the best chance of recovery possible, but this is the time that we can help them and most importantly, Jupiter.
