Help Cover Jose's Funeral and Medical Expenses

I’m making this update in the story to show my parents gratitude towards everyone who has supported through their compassion, or their donation. Using AI to calculate costs within the U.S it estimated $25,000 USD. My parents estimate we’ll easily reach 20K in expenses, so truly thank you to everyone that’s aiding us in laying Jose to rest right next to our baby sister in Mexico.

Hi, I’m Raul Placensia, Jose’s older brother.

Jose was only 17 ,full of light‑hearted mischief and always ready to make you laugh. We were so close growing up that people often mistook us for twins. I love you, little bro.

On April 19, 2025, at 11:15 PM, Jose was involved in a head‑on collision. He clung to life until he reached KU‑MED, where a team of 15–20 specialists treated him for severe blood trauma. Despite their efforts and emergency CPR, he passed away shortly afterward.

To everyone who has reached out with kind words and support: thank you from the bottom of my heart. As an older brother who lost our baby sister five years ago, it pains me deeply to share this news again. We are raising funds to cover funeral expenses, replace lost wages due to time off work, and pay outstanding medical bills.
