Jon passed away on July 16, 2025, due to health complications with cellulitis, which led to his kidneys failing and liver problems. His battle with cellulitis had lasted for many years, yet he seemed to bounce back after every bout. This year, however, it seemed to cause a domino effect that Jon's body couldn't overcome. Jon spent his ten days of life in the hospital, four of which was on dialysis.

Because of his many visits to the hospital, his medical bills have snowballed. His insurance has paid for some of it, but unfortunately, his parents cannot afford to pay the rest off.
