Help Cover Jeremiah's Hospital Expenses

Hi my name is Bonnie, I'm reaching out to the community for support to afford my son’s medical bills, expenses for travel, hotel and having to take off work to be by my sons side while we navigate this difficult situation. On Thursday December 5th Jeremiah Chance Bornman went to the Emergency Room at LKMC for facial swelling after he had Strep throat earlier in the week. He was found to have inflammation and a small abcess that was in the process of forming in peritonsillar area. Due to his history of Hyper IGE Syndrome the ER physicians felt it was best to transfer him to a higher level hospital in Miami. The hospital in Miami refused to accept him. Several hours later while in the Emergency Room his airway closed and he had to have an emergency tracheotomy and placed on a ventilator. While in ICU he was found a small pneumothorax and they suspected a possible esphogeal tear. Jeremiah Chance was finally accepted to higher level hospital with an available ICU bed at Savannah Memorial Hospital in Savannah Georgia. Once there the abcess began to form and he went under surgery to have the abcess drained and a temporary drain was left in place. They were able to rule out an esphogeal tear. But he continues to have a long road to recovery.
