Help Cover James Thomas's (my dad) Final Expenses

James Thomas ( my dad) had tragicly passed away on February 10th, 2025 unexpectedly.

He had been legally blind and didn't see well for the last 20 years. He had never wondered off the property. Hated being outside in the dark. He knew where everything was located where he had lived. He had stage 4 kidney failure. He had gone every 4 months for kidney Stent replacement due to a blockage. Otherwise he was doing well.

On Feb 10th, early morning after 5:10 AM ( I had already left for work) he had wondered off the property and ended up walking up the street. He had fallen into a pond. Climbed his way out of the pond and ended up passing away near the pond. He was found around 6:50am. He was wet from the waist down and pants frozen to the ground. He had no pulse. The person who found him did CPR for 25 minutes after calling 911. The EMS also tried to do CPR and used the AED machine. They couldn't revive him. The police had informed my mother, her husband (my dad) was found deceased. She was in bed asleep when this all had happened.

We are still in shock over this. Cause of death is pending and we won't know anything until 6 or 8 weeks.

My parents had lived off of my dads social security money 1200.00 a month for several years. He had managed all the bills and money. My mom couldn't work due to her health conditions of severe migraine headaches, pinched nerves in her neck. He had no life insurance to cover his cremation cost. He had planned to have his body donated to science but because it was mandatory for an autopsy to be done due to how he passed away we couldn't donate his body to science. It will take about 2 months for my mother to receive part of my dad's social security money. I'm not able to cover all the bills at home.

As you know, [James, my dad] recently passed away, and we are facing unexpected financial burdens related to cremation costs and other bills. We would be incredibly grateful if you could consider donating to help us cover these expenses during this difficult time.". The money will go towards the cremation, and his remaining bills he had.

There will not be any viewing for my dad. We will have celebration of life to celebrate all the wonderful years we had with him.
