Help cover health expenses for Lessie H. Matthews

Lessie H. Matthews has been recently diagnosed with polyneuropathy. Polyneuropathy, is damage or disease affecting peripheral nerves (peripheral neuropathy) in roughly the same areas on both sides of the body, featuring weakness, numbness, and burning pain. It’s an ailment that is closely related to ALS, which stands for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This diagnosis along with her other health issues has put her in a position that she has diminishing use of her extremities and no control of her lower body.  She is wheelchair bound which compromises her to do many daily tasks.

Lessie is a loving mother. Lessie is a dedicated chaplain. Lessie is a giver. Lessie is a graphic designer. Lessie is a passionate community organizer. Lessie is a published author. Lessie is a warrior. Lessie is a loyal and faithful woman of God. All the greatness of this woman is not enough to overcome her physical challenges at her current state.

At this point we need your help. Your contributions will be used to cover expenses for a caregiver who will transport her from bed to wheelchair, and to doctor’s appointments.  A caregiver will help with grocery shopping, cooking, and other common daily tasks.
