New friends, long-time friends - nice to see you here. My name is Em (they/thEM) and I’m a trans-nonbinary artist, performer, actor, lover of life, and pal. After several years of thoughtful consideration and planning, I’ve booked a gender-affirming breast reduction surgery for mid-November 2023. I am SO excited to be able to move around as myself and feel more comfortable in my body!

As a nonbinary / genderqueer person, my expression and experience with gender can be very fluid. The complexity, layering of masculine/feminine qualities, and need for separation of the binary is both powerful and scary in a gendered society. But through this journey, the relationship I've had with my chest has always been the same - I've known that what I have is not me and that a reduction surgery will help heal gender dysphoria and trauma. So... here I am! When I asked my surgeon why he's in this field, he said that he's been doing this work for 25 years because he has the happiest patients on Earth. I do not doubt it, Craig!
