Help Cover Funeral Costs for Jorge Martinez

My name is Tracey and I made this fundraiser for the family of Jorge Martinez. I met Jorge when he took Huerta del Valle's farmer training program this past year and was able to get to know him over 6 months. He was an excellent student and a beautiful and kind person all around and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to have crossed paths with him in this life. Please share any support you can for the cost of funeral services for Jorge. This fundraiser also includes extra funds to help support the cost of rent for a few months as they need extra financial support in this time. All proceeds will go directly to his wife Rubi.

"Our family is devastated by the loss of Jorge Martinez, a family man who at the age of 36 died of pneumonia caused by COVID. He is now with God after weeks of fighting for his life as a brave warrior who fought to the end. There are no words to describe this pain in our hearts. Jorge was always a man with values ​​because he had a noble heart and was always willing to help and sacrifice for others, whether they were family or friends. He leaves behind his two girls - America, 6 ; and Nicolette, 3 years old, his wife Rubí with whom he was married for 11 years and Gabriel, his wife's brother, a special child that together with his wife he helped take care of for 9 years because he is a disabled child.

 

A little about Jorge, he arrived from Mexico in 2004 together with his family looking for a better future. Jorge was always a very self-sacrificing man as he worked to help his family, even if that meant putting his dreams aside. Jorge was always a man with vision and dreams. He was very humble and as he knew poverty he loved life and his happiness was to share what he had.

 

Jorge made many sacrifices for his family. The biggest was helping his wife to get ahead, helping full time to care for his brother Gabriel who is 20 years old and disabled due to mental retardation and Cerebral Palsy. Jorge helped him to feed him, care for his personal hygiene, and spend time with him and support him emotionally since Gabriel, due to his disability, needs all the care as if he were a baby. This gave his wife an opportunity to go to school and fulfill her talents and dreams.

 

His departure not only leaves a great emptiness in the heart of his wife, his little girls and Gabriel, but also leaves them without that great unconditional, emotional and financial support.

 

Jorge left behind his two little daughters who are now too young to understand why they have been left without a father. This Christmas we celebrated without Jorge and that is why we are preparing this fund to help his wife and daughters with any expense that comes their way. We ask and appreciate your help with the kindness of your heart to help lessen the financial burden. Also thank you in advance for all the donations made to help us celebrate, honor and remember Jorge as we prepare a memorial service in the middle of the holiday season."

Mi nombre es Tracey e hice esta recaudación de fondos para la familia de Jorge Martínez. Conocí a Jorge cuando tomó el programa de capacitación de agricultores de Huerta del Valle el año pasado y pude conocerlo durante 6 meses. Fue un excelente estudiante y una persona hermosa y amable en todos lados y estoy agradecido por haber tenido la oportunidad de haberme cruzado con él en esta vida. Deja atrás a sus dos niñas - América, 6; y Nicolette, 3 años, su esposa Rubí con quien estuvo casado durante 11 años y Gabriel, el hermano de su esposa, un niño especial que junto con su esposa ayudó a cuidar durante 9 años porque es un niño discapacitado.

 

Un poco sobre Jorge, llegó de México en 2004 junto a su familia buscando un futuro mejor. Jorge siempre fue un hombre muy abnegado mientras trabajaba para ayudar a su familia, incluso si eso significaba dejar de lado sus sueños. Jorge siempre fue un hombre con visión y sueños. Era muy humilde y como conoció la pobreza amaba la vida y su felicidad era compartir lo que tenía.

 

Jorge hizo muchos sacrificios por su familia. El más grande fue ayudar a su esposa a salir adelante, ayudando a tiempo completo a cuidar a su hermano Gabriel, que tiene 20 años y está discapacitado por retraso mental y parálisis cerebral. Jorge lo ayudó a alimentarlo, cuidar su higiene personal, pasar tiempo con él y apoyarlo emocionalmente ya que Gabriel, por su discapacidad, necesita todos los cuidados como si fuera un bebé. Esto le dio a su esposa la oportunidad de ir a la escuela y cumplir sus talentos y sueños.

 

Su partida no solo deja un gran vacío en el corazón de su esposa, sus hijitas y Gabriel, sino que también los deja sin ese gran apoyo incondicional, emocional y económico.

 

Jorge dejó atrás a sus dos pequeñas hijas que ahora son demasiado pequeñas para entender por qué se han quedado sin padre. Esta Navidad la celebramos sin Jorge y por eso estamos preparando este fondo para ayudar a su esposa e hijas con cualquier gasto que se les presente. Pedimos y agradecemos su ayuda con la bondad de su corazón para ayudar a aliviar la carga financiera.
