Help cover funeral costs for James Johnston III
Donation protected
Update 3/31: Today we say goodbye to James, when we started this we couldn't imagine the outpouring of donations, comments, prayers, and shares. We can't put into words how much it means to us, we appreciate it.
“We all die, the goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.” - Chuck Palaniuk
Update from the family 3/22: We are at a loss for words. Numb. For 7+ weeks we looked, we shared, we prayed and did all we could to bring James home. Yesterday we got a call no one should ever have to get - they found him. Not the fun personality, not the infectious laugh, the witty jokes. They found his remains. We have the closure now that he will be coming home for good.
We want to thank everyone that has reached out to the family, took the time to share a post, prayer, or encouraging comment.
We don’t know what to say. Thank you doesn’t seem like enough.
When the arrangements are made, we will share them.
We love you James, you will always be with us. May the suffering be over and you be whole and healthy again. R.I.P.
No Parent should ever have to bury a child.
James was a wonderful man so full of life, with an infectious smile. A person who would do anything for anyone, and have a blast doing it. He will always be remembered by his family as a loving son, caring brother, and fun uncle.
All the rest of the money raised will be put towards funeral costs, and burial with any extra being donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
Jamie went missing sometime during the early hours of January 29th, 2019.
His body was recovered on the afternoon of March 21st.
He was a great kid. He used to be in my youth group. He was also the son of a good friend.
