In Loving Memory of Francis Covington IV

On October 28, our beloved Francis Covington IV tragically passed away at the age of 24.

Francis leaves behind a family that loved him deeply: his father, Anthony Covington, and his wife, Carrie Covington; his sister, Maya Lee, and her husband, Louis Lee; his mother, Melissa Rogers; his brother, Julius Coleman; his uncle, Kip Magee; and his three adoring nieces, Kahleysia Lee, Laviahna Lee, and Lee'ahna Lee.

A Life Remembered

Francis touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth and kindness.

His former teacher shared, “Growing up, Francis was a child full of love and life. He was a smart and intelligent, happy kid who blossomed into a warm-hearted adult full of life. He will be greatly missed.” Vern Hee, added to this sentiment: "Francis always was upbeat and greeted me with a smile from ear to ear. He loved grooming the dogs. I really enjoyed talking to him and I will miss him greatly!"

His father, Anthony, spoke proudly of his son, who had recently learned the dog grooming trade over the summer. “My son always thought of others first and would give the shirt off his back. He was a truly kind-hearted person.”

His uncle, Kip Magee, whom Francis lived with, added, “He was a caring soul who would generously give his time with a wholesome heart. Francis always had care in his words and made sure to say good morning to everyone. He will truly be missed.” Kip also noted that Francis was a Pathway student and an international network gamer who had a strong desire to work in animal care.

Supporting the Family

This unexpected and heartbreaking loss has left Francis's family reeling with grief. His father, Anthony Covington, is currently experiencing tough financial times and urgently needs this support to bury his son. We are starting this fund to help Francis's family cover the immediate and unexpected funeral costs and other essential expenses as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
