Eunhyoung was born in Seoul, South Korea and always had a strong relationship with the Lord. She taught her children from a young age to seek God and to serve others. When she was younger, she was artistically talented but was called by God into dentistry so that she could eventually volunteer on mission trips. She went on a mission trip to India where she ministered dental care to those who could not afford it. Due to various circumstances she had to constantly travel between homes in Korea, China, and America, and never forsaking her children, she always sought to support them and encourage them to seek God. Christian was studying to become a dentist like his mother, but Trinity always wanted him to go to a Bible school so he can ground himself in the Faith. Christian agreed and is currently attending his first year of Bible college. Ever since she heard of the need in Africa, Trinity was planning to go on a mission trip to provide volunteer dental care, but she passed away before she could go. In her 49 years of life, the years were lived in utmost faithfulness to God, her family, and her neighbor in need. Her passing was news that surprised everyone. It is one of those deaths that causes you to ask: No, why her? Why did such a caring heart of a servant have to stop beating? Why did the infections she so dearly fought to heal others from have to eventually claim her life? Why so young? But despite all these whys, given Trinity's love for the Lord, we know that in the face of God's timeless love, that Trinity now rests with her creator, leaving behind a legacy through her children and all the lives touched by the example she left.
Trinity contracted the flu in early January and was taken to the hospital by her daughter Christine. The doctors diagnosed her with an extreme case of pneumonia from the klebsiella oxytoca virus. She was taken into ICU and rushed to urgent care. The doctors were able to remove most of the fluid from Trinity's lungs, and she was conscious for a few days but in a lot of pain. Afterwards, she was quickly put into a medically-induced coma up until her death. In addition to pneumonia, the virus had infected her body and began to attack her vital organs. After spending about a month in this condition, the virus reached her brain and her heart suddenly stopped beating. The doctors called her children, 20-year-old Christian and 21-year-old Christine, to make the decision to pull her off the machine that allowed her heart to continue beating. Christian and Christine had to make the decision to remove her from life support after being told by the doctors that there was no hope of survival. The doctors said before pulling the machine, they could do a CT scan to see if Trinity was brain dead, but that process would cause her a lot of pain. Recalling how their mother told them that she did not want to die a slow painful death, respecting her wish, Trinity was removed from life support and died at 3:37 pm on March 8th.

Trinity's children, Christian and Christine are both Korean citizens in America on student visas. They have been living in America for years, traveling between homes in Korea and NYC. They are unable to work to cover costs because of prohibitions on their visas, and both of them are currently in school. Their father hasn't been in contact with the family for years, but recently reconnected with his children after hearing about their mother's death and is now trying to help them. However, family from Korea is unable to fly in and support them during this difficult time because of the ban on travel in Asia due to the coronavirus. Christian and Christine now have the bulk of responsibility on themselves to organize funeral arrangements, figure out medical bills, and pay for burial costs, all while dealing with the emotional trauma of a tragic unexpected death.
Please help Christian and Christine bear this overwhelming burden. Every dollar will go to cover medical bills, funeral arrangements, and the loss of living support from their mother. Christian and Christine appreciate every dollar, prayer, and word of comfort during this hard time. We as friends will make sure to keep close contact with them and to keep you updated on how they're doing. They appreciate your willingness to give.
