My name is Silver Varela, and I am the mother of Anthony’s girlfriend, Tierra. With the permission of Anthony’s family, I have created this GoFundMe to help raise funds for the unexpected and heartbreaking cost of burying a child. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Anthony’s mother, Josie Solis, to help cover funeral expenses and support the family as they navigate this unimaginable grief.

What was meant to be a celebration of Anthony’s 19th birthday turned into a nightmare no family should ever face. Last night Anthony was an innocent bystander tragically taken from this world far too soon. He had dreams, ambition, and a heart full of love for those around him. His family, friends, and especially my daughter Tierra are shattered by his loss.

Even in our heartbreak, we find peace in knowing Anthony gave his life to God. We were honored to witness his baptism—a sacred moment where God made a promise we now hold onto with everything we have: we will see him again.
