Our Family is facing another incredibly difficult time after the tragic loss of Nathan Freeman, who was murdered in Houston on March 20, 2023. The first trial, which was in March 2026, ended in a hung jury (9 to 3 guilty) and will be retried in Oct. It was extremely hard on everyone who traveled with us for the first trial, and it will be even harder the second time. We are preparing to travel to Houston again to seek justice and honor Nathan’s memory. This journey is not only emotionally challenging but also financially burdensome as we arrange travel, food, and lodging for their stay.
The funds raised will go directly toward covering the Freeman Family’s travel, meals, and hotel expenses while we attend the trial. Marty and I, as we are Nathan's parents, have to be there, and we will only receive pay for the first week of the trial; unfortunately, we will not be compensated for the second week since we have already had a trial this year and I don't get any more vacation time until next year. This loss of income makes it even more difficult for us to cover the costs of being away from home for an extended period. Additionally, as we travel to Houston, we will need to stop along the way to pick up Nathan's sister Jessica, since she does not have a reliable car to make the trip herself.
Your support, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference for the Freeman Family as we navigate this heartbreaking chapter. Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and for standing with them as they seek justice for Nathan Freeman.
