As many of you know, Fred, the tall handsome one, passed away on June 10, 2024.
Let me tell you about Fred's journey. He was rushed into surgery on June 5, 2023, to restore his ability to breathe, and then two weeks later, he underwent a total laryngectomy. He lost his ability to speak. After many complications, he was released 4 weeks later.
The next few months were followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Then came the three-month wait, filled with crossed fingers, prayers, and good old-fashioned luck. In January, Fred was pronounced cancer-free. We had thought that Fred, although no longer able to speak, would be on the way to recovery. Not so fast - he was called back to the office because although his throat was cancer-free, a few polyps were found elsewhere. Fred had to go back to chemotherapy.
On April 22, Richard/Darrell had a stroke. He is okay, but the time off of work, as well as trying everything he could, has been challenging.
I am now at the point that i need some help. You may know that even with no service, the expenses can be out of reach. Plus, all of the expenses are piling up, with doctor bills. I am just asking today for some help with this.
