Hace casi un mes atras, mi tio Francisco, quien ha sido como un padre para mi, despertó con un dolor abdominal muy severo. El dolor era tan intenso que tuvo que ser llevado al hospital de urgencia. Luego de muchos examenes fue diagnosticado con cancer pancreático fase 4 que ya se había metastatizado a various órganos, especialmente afectando el hígado.

Hace una semana atrás los doctores nos dijeron que su prognosis era muy pobre y que ya no se podía hacer nada, solo mantenerlo con medication para aliviar el intenso dolor.

Hoy dia 3 de diciembre mi tío cerró sus ojos para siempre. El cancer le ganó esta batalla...

Sera recordado con mucho amor por su esposa Liliam, sus hijos Dany y Yari, y por todos aquellos que tuvimos el privilegio de ser parte de su vida.

Es muy dificil para mi hacer este pedido, pero nuestra familia no cuenta con los recursos para costear todos los gastos de funeral.

About a month ago, my uncle Francisco, who has been more than a father to me, woke up with a very severe abdominal pain. The pain was so intense that he had to be rushed to the hospital. After many imaging and blood work tests, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 4. The cancer had already metastasized to several organs, affecting the liver the most.

Last week the doctors told us that his prognosis was very poor and that there was nothing else they could do other than keeping him comfortable with pain medications.

Today, December 3rd, my uncle closed his eyes forever. Cancer won this battle.

He will be deeply remembered by his wife, Liliam, his children Dany and Yari and for all us who had the privilege of being part of his life.

It is very hard for me to ask for this, but my family needs help as we do not have the resources to cover all of the funeral expenses.
