This fundraiser is sponsored by a group of volunteers who see so much potential in a senior, bully mix named Kanani that they adopted her from certain euthanasia to make one last push to find her a new home or alternate shelter. After many phone calls, emails and visits, a kind woman agreed to foster sweet Kanani, and we are now looking for donations to help her foster mom and the other volunteers who have been sheltering her cover the financial expenses of caring for a senior dog for 1-3 months.

Kanani is a 75 lb. Cane Corso mix who spent the first 8 years of her life chained to a concrete slab. She was in rough shape and facing starvation by the time she was rescued, but now she’s feeling much better in spite of the lumps and bumps and wonky knees that come with age. We are so grateful to the foster mom who has agreed to take in Kanani until she can hopefully transition to a loving, permanent home to retire to in comfort!

Kanani's expenses while in foster may include: medications, food, toys, bedding, boarding, and vet visits.
