I'm a transgender man who has been on hormone replacement therapy since 2015. This treatment has been life-saving for me. It keeps me healthy and able to show up in the world as myself.

Since August of last year, new policies and insurance barriers have made it nearly impossible to get my testosterone prescription filled. I've filed multiple appeals, made countless calls to insurance, and seen several providers, but I'm still stuck in a system that keeps failing me.

HRT isn't optional for me; it's necessary for my mental and physical health, and for my safety. Going without it takes a real toll on my body and mind, and it's been an incredibly stressful and disheartening process.

Right now, even with the best prescription coupons, the lowest monthly cost is $366. I'm trying to raise enough to cover at least two months while I keep fighting through the insurance maze, all while managing other medical debts and trying to recover from months of unemployment.
