Please Help with Robbery and Medical Bills

As we all know, gender dysphoria is included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). The DSM-5 defines gender dysphoria as significant distress or impairment that results from a marked difference between a person's gender identity and their assigned sex at birth.

In coherence with DSM-5 and WPATH, "The medical procedures attendant to gender-affirming/confirming surgeries are not “cosmetic” or “elective” or “for the mere convenience of the patient.” These reconstructive procedures are not optional in any meaningful sense but are understood to be medically necessary for the treatment of the diagnosed condition."

Although the medical world has classified these procedures as "not cosmetic", my insurance company does not provide any coverage as they still define these procedures as "cosmetic".

Please help me with my out-of-pocket expenses.

Based on some preliminary discussions, the estimated costs I've received (for just FFS related procedures) were $67-$126K, so I set the goal to $75K. In the extremely unlikely scenario that I actually receive more than my total expenses, I will be donating the rest of the funds to local LGBT+ groups to help other people in similar situations

ALSO - You'll notice that I made this page ~4 months ago but never shared the page because I honestly hate the idea of asking other people for help. My apartment was broken into yesterday (1/15/25) and the overwhelming amount of emotional support I've been receiving has taught me that 'it's okay to be vulnerable and ask for help'. Only around $500 in personal items were stolen, which means my insurance won't cover anything due to a $500 deductible. Any support with this (even just emotional) is greatly appreciated.
