I never thought I’d be in a position to do this, but we’re dealing with a sudden medical emergency with our 5-year-old dog.

Over the past couple weeks, he had some unusual symptoms, and while we thought he was improving, it quickly escalated into multiple seizures while I was running my marathon in Seattle, requiring emergency veterinary care. He was treated at Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency and is now on medication while we try to stabilize him and figure out what’s going on.

So far, we’ve incurred $1,600 in emergency vet bills, with the potential for additional costs depending on medication and follow-up care.
