My name is Cody and I am raising funds for my brother's funeral/medical expenses. I'll start at the beginning. Three months ago, my brother David was involved in a terrible car accident, costing him his car, job, and almost taking his life. He broke his spine in several spots, several ribs, both legs, both feet, had a brain injury, etc. He had extensive surgeries and spent the last three months in the hospital. He pulled through, but it was unsure if he would ever walk again. He just got to return home two weeks ago and had been ordered to stay in bed while he recovered. He did just that until 4 a.m., January 4th, when he unfortunately passed from cardiac arrest. He had a long road to recovery ahead of him, but nobody could have seen this coming, and we were the furthest thing from prepared.

My brother had three amazing kids, Austin, Brayden, and Nathan. He also had two brothers, Chris and Cody, as well as one sister, Emilie. Our mother, Suzanne, is absolutely devastated. Nobody should have to bury their own child. Now, at this time, while we are all trying to wrap our heads around the fact that he is gone, we have been hit with the fact that funerals are expensive. With him already having been out of work because of the accident and this all happening so suddenly, we cannot afford it. I am asking for assistance to help pay for the funeral expenses and medical expenses that have come with all this. Absolutely anything donated will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards his funeral/medical expenses, and if anything remains, it will be split between his children.
