Hello everyone,

My name is William Hamilton, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to help cover the funeral and cremation costs for my mother, Cynthia Walker-Hamilton, who unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on Saturday morning. My family is devastated. My mom was the heart of our home, and losing her so suddenly has left us overwhelmed emotionally and financially. She was a longtime San Francisco resident and worked for San Francisco City College for many years before retiring. She was kind, loving, and always supported everyone around her, especially her children.

At the time of her passing, she did not have life insurance or death coverage. The funeral home costs are approximately $3,500 for the cremation alone, not including the memorial service or additional arrangements. Everything happened so fast that we’re doing our best to organize things while dealing with grief.

My older brother, who lived with my mom, they supported each other is also facing a complicated situation. Due to multiple health issues, He relies on disability income. Her passing has left him without the stability she provided, and we are trying to support him while covering funeral expenses.

I currently work overseas as an ESL teacher in China, and I flew home as soon as I heard the news. I only have a short time here to take care of everything — funeral arrangements, clearing the apartment, and making sure my brother has support. Any help you can give would truly make a difference during this difficult time.
