Ernie Ogden’s Cremation and Memorial Costs

Hi, my name is Nicole and it is with a very

heavy heart that I am having to write this, but I am trying to help my mom figure things out in these trying times of losing her husband, Ernie.

On Sept 12, Ernie went in for a surgery to remove a mass in his stomach that was cancerous, during surgery his vitals began to plummet… they were able to finish his surgery, but he was immediately intubated and on life support to keep him alive. Ernie also suffered from congestive heart failure and the right side of his heart was only working at about 30% to begin with.. so we were all hoping for a miracle. During the last 17 days the doctors did everything they possibly could to try and get his heart stronger and keep him alive, but they kept running into complications including Ernie developing pneumonia in both lungs, not responding to any type of antibiotics, and eventually going septic. Today, Sept 29, they made the very tough decision to take him off the machines and let him rest… he passed away at 1:16pm and everyone’s lives immediately changed. Ernie was a great guy with a big heart and a really good friend to many. He lived life fast, but to the fullest and we will all miss him.

With this being so sudden and no one having prepared for this day to come, my mom is looking at some pretty big costs to cover his cremation, death certificate, some medical bills, a celebration of life, and other financial obligations that may arise. Anything donated would be more than appreciated. We don’t yet have a memorial date as this is all so new but we will keep everyone updated.
