Help Support the Family of Courtney Cook
On Friday, October 17th, our hearts were broken by the sudden loss of Courtney Cook - a beautiful wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched so many lives with her warmth, laughter, compassion, and love for life.
Just hours after arriving at their new home in Fredericksburg, Texas, ready to start their next chapter together, Courtney suffered a sudden and massive stroke. She was rushed to the hospital in Fredericksburg and then airlifted to the neurology ICU at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, where the medical team made every possible effort to save her. Despite these efforts, Courtney tragically passed away, leaving her husband, Tyler, her family, and her friends heartbroken and devastated.
Courtney was born on December 22, 1980, and grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. After graduating from San Diego State University, she met the love of her life, Tyler Cook, in 2005, and the two were married in 2009. Over the past twenty years they have built a wonderful life together — traveling, hiking, camping, enjoying good food and wine, and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was reading a great book or spending a quiet evening at home. Courtney’s radiant smile, kind heart, and beautiful spirit brightened every room she entered, and together she and Tyler shared a love that touched everyone who knew them.
A life with so many beautiful moments — here are just a few from the past 20 years:

The funds raised will be divided evenly to support Courtney’s memorial and a Celebration of Life and nonprofit organizations close to her heart. Over the years Courtney and Tyler volunteered with Children’s Cancer Association (CCA) and Candlelighters of Oregon, donations will be made to these in organizations in Courtney's name. Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated and will make a difference in celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
Please note you can adjust the tip for Go Fund me from zero (no tip) to a custom amount when you enter your donation amount. All 'Tips' go directly to Go Fund Me, not this fundraiser.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026 to honor Courtney’s beautiful spirit and the love she shared with so many.
