My name is Felipe. I am one of the owners of our beloved dog Liam. He is an 8 year old Shih Tzu with plenty of life, a love of handshakes and has brought about so many smiles ever since he was a pup. Sadly, we have had to hospitalize him very suddenly, and with all the tests and medications our family has come upon our financial limit. Liam has a loss of appetite stemming due to several possible internal factors, of which the hardworking staff are doing their part to help keep him healthy and cared for as we await biopsy results. He has a lot of strength and energy still, however he has lost a lot of weight in the last week and his health is being impacted greatly. While we've had to contend with making hard decisions, we have seen several reassurances that he still has a chance, though he will need continued treatment as he recovers and we await additional information and action.

Expenses to come will include paying potentially for further nights at the animal hospital, where Liam will get great care and can build his strength up while we wait for crucial test results. Additional costs may include further testing or even procedures, as well as likely medication in the event we can take him home. We have already accrued several thousand dollars with the process so far, and while we hope that is most of it we are hoping for any opportunities to lessen the strain, as well as prepare for any further expenses, which can easily be thousands more.

Liam is still a relatively young dog for his breed and has otherwise been very healthy, so the situation suddenly changing has put myself and loved ones into shock. Between the financial pressure already being felt, with more likely to come, I humbly ask for any available donations to help us as we explore all possible avenues to save our beloved member of the family.
