Hi, my name is Valerie. I recently lost my father unexpectedly on May 16th, 2025. His name was Brian E. Lange. He was a very friendly, kind, warm, funny, courageous, and loving man and a veteran. He was in the Coast Guard when he was younger and was honorably discharged. I am so proud to be able to call him my dad. He passed away in his home unexpectedly and suddenly. We were very, very taken aback by this news and we were not prepared in any way to have lost him like this. He had told me a few years prior in a random conversation that he had life insurance, so if anything were to happen to him, we would be able to take care of his cremation and funeral/memorial. Turns out he did not have any type of life insurance. My husband and I were even more taken aback by this as we are the only ones that are responsible to take care of the costs associated with cremation and funeral/memorial. So unfortunately, we were unable to honor his life in any meaningful way yet due to low funds. My husband and I have four young children we are raising and trying to stay afloat with bills, food, etc. And now we have this cremation bill of close to $2,700 we have to come up with. I'd also love to be able to have some kind of memorial for him to honor his life. If you are able to make any small donation, it is much appreciated and thank you so much in advance ❤️

Whatever amount of money we are able to raise through this GoFundMe will solely go towards the cremation bill (I will be posting a receipt) and if we make enough to cover a memorial, then we will be posting pictures of it after it's able to happen.
