Help Cover Costs for Jeremiah James' Family

Jeremiah James, born on my birthday, left us peacefully on November 20th at 8:18pm. We found out he was with us in February, and we had 9 amazing months with him while he grew. He had a sense of humor, and was a very active baby. He liked when I ate diced peaches and did not like anything touching him. He would kick dopplers off and kick ultrasound techs regularly.

His birth story

I went into labor on November 15th. His heart rate stayed great the whole time, I got myself through contractions somehow, and he did great through them. I pushed with him for 3 hours, but the last two pushes to see where he was, pushed him and his cord against a part of my bone. His cord was wrapped up around his shoulder. His case has been discussed amongst doctors, and no one has seen anything like it. When he fell up against the bone, it crushed his cord and stopped his heart. We were rushed in for an emergency c section. He was out within 10 minutes and endured 23 minutes of CPR. He came back to us, but the damage was so extensive he never came around. He survived the ambulance ride, and laid in the NICU for a couple of days until we made the very hard decision to remove him from life support. He went peacefully in our arms. We are so proud of him.

What we are asking for

We are asking for financial donations, as I am out of work for months, unpaid, as I used all my PTO for appointments with Jeremiah. Being high risk has you in and out of doctors a lot. We are on one income for an indefinite amount of time. I am healing from my surgery and it will be a while before I'm up and about. We now have to pay for a service for our baby, medical expense, and lodging/food to be near him until we are able to make proper arrangements. Things have already started to add up, and we could really use any support.
