My sweet cat Comet recently got sick, kicking off a 4-day adventure bouncing between urgent care clinics until he finally ended up at an emergency veterinary hospital for overnight care. I still don't know what the diagnosis is, but I'm hopeful for positive results because he's a tough cookie who always bounces back.

I'm creating this GoFundMe because as much as I wish I was made of infinite funds to ensure his complete recovery and potential ongoing care, I am not. Times are hard for everyone right now, and I appreciate anything anyone can give to help me offset the cost of his vet bills, which have already reached over $2k.

I was laid off last October and am not gainfully employed, despite my best efforts to change that. In the interest of full transparency, I can't even pay my rent every month without the help of my brother and the occasional generosity of my friends. So every bit helps, and I'm grateful to have their support.
