Honoring Claudia's Legacy: A Call for Support During This Difficult Time

Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters,

This is George, and I'm writing to you today with a humble heart and a request for help as I continue navigating the challenges of my wife Claudia's passing.

Claudia was my wife of 11 beautiful years, and more than that, she was my best friend, partner, and the light of my life. In October 2023, after a long and courageous fight with ovarian cancer, Claudia passed away. Despite the pain and sadness of her illness, she faced each day with unimaginable strength, grace, and love.

Throughout her journey, the support of our friends, family, and community meant everything to us. Your generosity made it possible to attempt to provide hospice care for Claudia at home when her condition became more serious. When it became clear that at-home care was no longer feasible, your kindness ensured that Claudia received the compassionate, dignified care she needed at Brian's House. This hospice facility cared for her like family in her final days. For this, I will forever be grateful.

Unfortunately, the costs of her medical treatments, hospice care, and the other financial burdens that come with fighting such an aggressive illness have left me in significant debt. Although I am doing everything possible to rebuild, it's been an uphill battle.

I am grateful to have found work as a high school teacher, a rewarding job full of promise. But my income is just a fraction of what it once was before Claudia's illness. As I work to stabilize my financial situation, I am asking for help once more.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to ask for your assistance in paying off the debts that piled up during Claudia’s treatment and hospice care. These debts are an ongoing source of stress, and overcoming them would allow me to focus on healing, teaching, and honoring Claudia’s memory.
