Help Cover Calypso's Unexpected Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Hi all,

This is my first time doing anything like this, and I have always hoped I wouldn't have to...

This past weekend, my cat Calypso fell ill. She was throwing up uncontrollably and using the restroom in various areas of the apartment (very unlike her generally). She became lethargic and almost unresponsive. Thinking that she had perhaps eaten something she shouldn't have, I immediately took her to my nearest emergency veterinarian.

At the vet, they administered an anti-nausea shot and fluids to stabilize her. They gave her a physical that came out to be relatively normal, so the next step was to take several tests and x-rays. This initial visit came out to $829.42, a sudden expense that I was sadly unprepared for.

The following day, they called to go over the results. The tests showed that she has an enlarged intestine and that she is showing symptoms of possible pancreatitis/gastritis. To treat this, they created a health plan with prescribed medicine, special food, and fluids that need to be given to her daily. To receive the medicine and instructions to administer it, there would need to be another vet visit that would cost another estimated $172.44.

My savings have been completely depleted and truly anything helps to continue to keep my baby cat healthy and get her the medicine and care she needs. I don't know what I would do without her.

Thank you all.
