Bruce Rivers Florence, 64, of Burlington NC, passed away peacefully Thursday February 13th 2025, in his home.

Bruce was born May 31st, 1960 in Greenville, SC, and is the son of Rev. James Lee Florence Sr. and Margaret Hall Florence.

Bruce especially loved all things burl wood, fishing, flounder gigging, hunting, drag racing, cooking for the ones he loved.

He is survived by wife, Lisa Florence; children, Amanda Tickle (David), Jonathan Florence (Heidi), and Matthew Florence; grandchild, Amelia Florence; mother, Margaret Hall Florence; brother, Rev. James Lee Florence Jr “Jim” (Kathy); sister, Melody Florence Parker; many nieces and nephews; and his loving friends.


Preceding Bruce in death are his father, Rev. James Lee Florence Sr and his brother, Michael Joe Florence.

The family will be having a private burial.

A Memorial Service will be held in remembrance of Bruce on February 22nd at 1pm at Florence Memorial Baptist Church.

Unfortunately Bruce didn't have Medical or Life Insurance so, any donations would go to the family to help cover those expenses'.
