Hello friends and family. It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Brian Reed on 8/31/25. This is a heartfelt request to fundraise in an effort to help Nick with the unexpected funeral expenses. Brian and Nick have been partners in life for over 10 years. They had most recently adopted a teenager, Austin, to join their life's journey together. Their future was cut short by Brian's recent diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. For the past year, Brain fought the fight and even received a clearance of remission. However, less than 3 months ago, the cancer returned with a vengeance with a sad prognosis.

Brian's career started out in the Marines, serving our country from 1992 to 1996, and then remained in the reserves until 2000. Most recently, Brian worked at First National Bank in Fort Smith for the past 20 years.

Brian, Nick, and Austin loved going to garage sales, antiquing, watching horror movies, collecting troll dolls & stamps, but most of all, traveling at any opportunity, spending time with Nick and Austin. The family did plan an adoption celebration with Austin to Disney World, but due to recent events, forfeited the trip.

The funds raised will help to cover the unexpected high costs of funeral services. Your contribution will ease some of the financial strain and allow Nick and Austin to focus on grieving.
